This course is designed for trail & off-road runners and will look specifically going up, down and across steep ground with slippery and rocky bits; with and without the use of poles.

Bike-hiking- Pure Pentalnds

Sunday 25th September: 0930-1500hrs @ £40 per person (bring/hire your own bike)

 

Using the superb web of tracks and trails, we'll access The Pentland Hills taking in a wee hill or two. So, maps, mud and managing mistakes are the buzz words for this event.

Avoid following the crowds with a day learning and practicing new skills to help your adventures become journeys of exploration with Professional Mountaineering Instructor, Andy Cloquet.

​

Each course will be directed to a specific audience and will take place mainly on the trails and hills.

Depending on the course you choose, skills can include:

route planning and selection 

navigation 

managing your journey up, down & across steep ground and water

reacting to common incidents & outdoor first aid / improvised bike repairs

looking after less experienced folk
